About Us

Pam Caskie has over 40 years of experience in municipal administration, economic development, and consulting.  She has consulted on such various projects as facilitation of strategic planning for communities, organizations, and businesses.  She also has a strong Information Technology and Geographic Information Systems background.

Additionally, Pam has worked in tourism rich environments such as Sevier County, TN, one of the single highest tourism dominated counties in the country, as well as the Poconos, the High Country of Colorado, including Aspen, Vail, and Breckenridge as well as smaller tourism markets.  In these areas, she has focused on using the variety of data that is available to tell a story that is not easy to identify to retail location specialists.

In 2020, just prior to the pandemic, Pam worked with the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce and Industry on a USAid contract to improve local leadership in Kylea for the promotion of agriculture and tourism.  While the pandemic brought her home early, she recieved excellent reviews for her abilities to motivate the participants, lead them towards a cohesive plan for driving their future. Her success in Kylea was assisted by her knowledge of tourism, agricultural markets and the ability to facilitate groups in a manner that built confidence and teamwork.

She is the owner and developer of TEDI which is a Tourism dominance statistic that can be used to determine how dependent that location is on tourism and how that information may be used for economic development and business alike.

Now retired from full-time municipal administration, Pam is enjoying traveling the country in her RV, sharing this life through her Tennessee Gypsy blog, and consulting to Chambers, local governments, Tourism agencies, and businesses.
